RED has been listening to its users. The main Achilles Heel of the current RED’s LCD was the fragility of the screen and difficulties performing in daylight. The new monitor deals with those issues with two main improvements:  Durable glass and extra bright LCD.

Gorilla Glass LCD

The 1920×1200 resolution display panel provides 2,200 nits of brightness to overcome viewing difficulties in bright outdoor environments, and the high pixel density (at 323 ppi) and 1200:1 contrast ratio delivers exceptional image quality. 2,000 nits is a crucial privilege for shooting outdoors with strong sunlight. Now those image data and histogram can be viewed easily. Watch the featured image of the article to explore the difference between the new LCD compared to other RED’s LCDs.
