  • Windowed 1080 HD at 300 frames per second
  • Blackmagic RAW images in both film and extended video modes
  • Raw compression levels up to 12:1

BRAW and Slow-mo

The main advantages/strengths of the G2 are two: BRAW and Slow motion capabilities.

The ability to record BRAW is fantastic! Jump to here for further reading.

However, we were a bit skeptic in regard to the slow-motion image quality of the URSA Mini Pro G2. Luckily, Garth De Bruno Austi has made some samples showing us high FPS footage.

For effective examination, it’s recommended to watch the YouTube video in 4K resolution.

Pay attention that the video is divided into various BRAW compression rates (8:1, 3:1). Read the description for further info:

Verdict

These are quite of impressive footage. The images look clean and sharp. Just a reminder about the Slow-mo capabilities: The URSA Mini Pro G2 high FPS specs are: 4608 x 2592 at 60/120 fps, 3840 x 2160 at 30/60/150 fps, 1920 x 1080 at 30/60/300 fps in 12 bit RAW. That’s a decent slow-mo spec considering its price point.
