Sony’s first 8K TV in India
The Z8H 85-inch is the company’s most expensive television available in India. The beast supports 7680×4320 resolution (8K UHD), LED Panel, X-Motion Clarity Refresh Rate Technology, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision Compatibility. That means, all the goodies needed for the home-theater experience included. According to Sony, even content that is natively in 2K or 4K will be upscaled to 8K by onboard technology that is capable of upscaling Full HD and 4K video to near-8K quality. Read more about it below.
8K X-Reality PRO
The 8K X-Reality PRO and Object-Based Super Resolution technology allow the 4K and Full HD content to be up-converted to near-8K UHD resolution. Moreover, the X1 Ultimate picture processor analyzes and processes data to enrich depth, texture, and detail in images using intelligent dual-database processing, which uses one database to reduce on-screen noise and the other to upscale the image, for real-time image enhancement. Object-Based Super Resolution helps the TV reproduce virtually real-world textures.

Interpretation
The landing of this 8K beast in India can indicate the demand for ultra-high-resolution content consumption. That means the 8K technology is being spread quite fast worldwide. Furthermore, the Z8H 8K is different by the ability to upscale lower resolutions into 8K, so you don’t need the content to be shot on 8K cameras, thus, making the 8K viewing experience even more mainstream.
