Nikon has published a video showing off the 8K unlimited video recording capabilities of the forthcoming flagship, Z 9 Mirrorless 8K camera. The video demonstrates 80 minutes of continuous video recording, in order to emphasize that the Z 9 has been developed with special care for professional videographers, and not just still shooters.
Nikon Z 9: The second teaser
The second teaser focuses on the 8K capabilities of the anticipated flagship. According to Nikon, the Z 9 was developed for cinematographers, and not just for professional photographers. As stated by Nikon: “In response to the growing needs of professionals, advanced enthusiasts, and cinematographers, it includes support for 8K video recording as well as various other video specifications that fulfill diverse needs and workflow”. The second teaser which was recently released tries to prove that point. Check out the slide below which is a screengrab for the teaser, that shows continuous 8K video recording for 1 hour and 20 minutes without overheating limitation.

Furthermore, it seems that is a dedicated button for video recording, which is located near the shooting button. However, this is just our assumption. Anyway, the teaser obviously tries to shed light on the tech abilities of the Nikon Z 9. For instance, it’s pretty obvious that a sophisticated heat dissipation apparatus has been implemented on the Z 9 since that shooting is done in Africa, which is not a cold environment.
