DZOFILM Expands PAVO Anamorphic with Macro65mm,135mm, and 180mm Lenses

DZOFILM introduces three new focal lengths to its PAVO Anamorphic series. Joining the lineup are the Macro 65mm T2.8, 135mm T2.5, and 180mm T2.8 lenses. One standout addition to the latest PAVO series is the 65mm macro lens, which DZOFILM claims to be the “World’s closest focus 2x anamorphic lens”. Those anamorphic lenses are made for Super 35 sensors.

DZOFILM PAVO Anamorphic: 3 new lenses

DZOFILM PAVO Anamorphic series first debuted during the 2023 NAB SHOW. And this year, they are going to unveil more focal lengths in this category. The new anamorphic are 135mm T2.5, 180mm T2.8, and the Macro 65mm T2.8 which is defined as the “World’s closest focus 2x anamorphic lens”.

Key features are:

  • Marco 65mm magnification ratios (1:2)
  • Well-controlled chromatic aberration
  • Oval bokeh and waterfall are out of focus
  • With an image circle of 31.5mm, it can cover mainstream S35 format cameras.
  • Expanded focus lengths remain slight weight (1.2-2kg)
  • Metric or imperial focus markings
  • Built-in back-focus adjustment

Compactness

DZOFILM adds that these lenses are compatible with gimbals, Steadicam, and drones, allowing for a wide range of shooting settings, from handheld to aerial, catering to both indie filmmakers and large-scale productions. Furthermore, the entire PAVO series features 16-blade aperture diaphragms (28mm has 14 blades), effortlessly crafting the classic oval-shaped bokeh for typical anamorphic imagery. Also, with all 9 lenses maintaining the same image quality, there are more options for filmmakers in film production. “This is truly a commendable improvement and innovation,” says DZOFILM and adds: “We have to say, the entire focal range and lightweight design of the PAVO series offer a standout advantage in the market, offering endless creative possibilities. With a consistently slight weight (1.2-2kg) across all focal lengths, the PAVO series is poised to redefine the standards of versatility and convenience”.

The PAVO Anamorphic Lenses are now available for order through authorized DZOFILM dealers. Each lens is priced competitively, with bundle options available for added savings 65mm: USD6879/EUR6389 (Shipping date starts from 10th of May). 135mm/180mm: USD5499/EUR5107 (Shipping date start from 20th of April.
