As Christmas Eve gets closer, this is the time to be reminded of one of the most Christmas related movies at all times: Die Hard (1988). When John McClane, officer of the NYPD, tries to save his wife Holly Gennaro and several others that were taken hostage by German terrorist Hans Gruber during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.

Anyway, a few days ago Fox released the new recut trailer as a promo for a new 30th Anniversary Christmas Edition Blu-ray and digital and 4K UHD release for the film. You can now watch the movie on Amazon, iTunes and platforms. Links are under the YouTube trailer.

The trailer looks hilarious and very well re-edited. As filmmakers we can be aspired and learn from this, how to recut trailers in order to deliver a whole new meaning of the story. As stated by Deadline Hollywood:” The film continues to stir debate about whether it’s really a “Christmas movie.” However, the trailer tries to convince us that this is a family movie, and according to the re-cut, it is.
