Tenet-The final trailer

I don’t remember any movie showing off its trailer so close to the official release. One of the commenters described it best: “Just watched the movie can’t wait to see the trailers”. Moreover, the first reviews have dropped. Tenet, which will be released in the UK on 26 August and in the US on 31 August (early screening) after several delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, has been defined as “James Bond on Acid” by some reviewers. By others, it seems a very Nolan-ish movie. That means a complicated plot that leads to an exhausting movie experience. Nevertheless, unanimously reviewers say that it’s truly an amazingly impressive cinematography piece of film. But you know Nolan… you have to watch his movies a couple of times in order to ingest and understand them. For now, Tenet’s Rotten Tomatoes rating is 80%, which is not bad, but far from being enough considering the anticipation. The main quote in Rotten is: “A visually dazzling puzzle for film lovers to unlock, Tenet serves up all the cerebral spectacle audiences expect from a Christopher Nolan production”. As I said: A pure Nolanization 🙂

New rap song

Surprisingly, the new trailer is accompaniment by a new rap song, called “The Plan” by Travis Scott. The song throws some hints regarding the movie that are connected to time traveling. However, this is just the trailer’s music. Tenet soundtrack was composed by Ludwig Grandson which was the composer behind Rocky franchise entries Creed and Creed II, and Venom. Furthermore,  Grandson has won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in Black Panther. FYI, Nolan asked Hans Zimmer to compose the soundtrack for Tenet, however, due to schedule conflicts, Hans was not available, but recommended his friend Grandson for the job.

Here is the TENET – Final Trailer below. Watch it! This is the most comprehensive one. BTW, in the end, you can find the famous scene about 747 crashing into a hangar. We wrote about this scene as it was made with no CGI (read: Warner Bros Announced Early Access Screenings in the US for the 70mm Film Masterwork- ‘Tenet’). The plane is a real 747 Boeing that the production has purchased and crashed into a real hangar to avoid using CGI.

A website dedicated for the US moviegoers

The new website, tenetfilm.com is now up, so moviegoers in the United Stated can see the selected theaters that can screen the movie, under the COVID regulations. According to the website, screening is available at about a few hundreds US cities. However, if you’re trying to search for quarantined cities like New York, you get the message: “Theaters in this area are temporarily closed in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. They will re-open when those guidelines allow. Please continue to check back here for update”. That website can also be applied as an indicator for cities that have low morbidity rates so moviegoers can enjoy the cinema in general, during COVID panic. Check it out from time to time at tenetfilm.com.
