Quietly, and under the radar, Z CAM has introduced the Z CAM E2-F6 Pro Full-Frame Cinema Camera with a 5″ Touchscreen Monitor. Besides the price, which is $4,000, details are barely known. This is what we know so far.
Z CAM E2-F6 Pro
With no official announcement by Z CAM, besides very superficial posts on its social channels, the Z CAM E2-F6 Pro was announced. At the first sight, it looks like a similar camera compared to the first E2-F6 model. However, when looking carefully, differences are noticed. The Z CAM E2-F6 Pro looks like a new camera by Z CAM. The Original F6 has other buttons on the left side. Explore the slide below that demonstrates the differences.
Key Features
The key features of the Z CAM E2-F6 Pro are:
- Full-Frame CMOS Sensor, up to 6K60 Video

- Detachable 5″ Touchscreen Monitor
- 12G-SDI and HDMI Outputs
- 15 Stops Dynamic Range/10-Bit Encoder

A cinema camera per se
We love Z CAM, particularly the Z CAM E2-F6 model, which was heavily utilized on Mission Impossible 7. Make sure to read our article: Z CAM E2-F6 Paired With IMAX Cameras in Mission Impossible 7. The camera was used as one of the main cameras in the movie, and not just as a stunt camera. It’s worth mentioning that this film is going to be screened on IMAX. Hence, this very affordable and underrated camera was paired perfectly with dedicated IMAX cameras. Thus, this powerful underdog surely has a future. We’ll keep you posted when more info is up to the surface. Stay tuned.
