The V35 Project

The guys at V35 Project know lenses. They dream and breath lenses, especially those with flares, and vintage style big-screen look & feel. After a successful limited run of their legacy Canon V35 retuning, V35 Project has expanded their vintage lens emulation platform with the release of 10 new Special Edition lens emulation retuning options. After extensive research and development, they are set to release vintage emulations using popular modern lenses such as the Tokina Vista-P, Zeiss CP3, Viltrox Epic, Nisi Athena, Canon Rf 24-105, Sigma Cine, DZO Arles, and more. Each retuning is a unique recipe designed to emulate a specific, highly sought-after vintage lens with characteristics like more interesting flares, edge performance, focus falloff, bokeh texture, color, sharpness, contrast, and more.

How it’s done? Very simple! You buy the lens you want to modify, then send it to the guys at V35. They manipulate the rear and front, do some coating, dedicated modifications with a lot of vintage spice and magic, and Voilà, you got yourself a vintage lens that imitates the look & feel of a specific high-end lens.

An alternative to expensive vintage lenses

Vintage cinema lenses, especially anamorphic ones, are ultra-expensive. Thus, recognizing the need to provide cinematographers and rental houses with an alternative to expensive vintage lenses, the V35 Project has worked with some of the most talented lens designers and technicians in the world to develop unique vintage emulation recipes at an affordable price compared to vintage lenses and rehousing options available in the marketplace.
