ZEISS Supreme Primes – The Natural look
The Supreme series has been developed for a couple of years, with a dedication for full format compatibility. It can be said that the Supreme is kind of a next generation to the Compact Primes series. Till now, there are nine primes. However, according to ZEISS, the set will be enlarged to contain 14 lenses (will be ready in 2020).
The Supreme Primes most probably will not replaces the Master Primes nor Ultra Primes, which are at the high-end of ZEISS cinema lenses. The Supreme is meant to be a more affordable large-format option for filmmakers that love and used to the ZEISS cinema look. ZEISS Supreme claims to the natural look rather than the unique/old/vintage look.
21/T1.5 and 135/T1.5
The 21mm and the 135mm are the newest members in the family and were announced at NAB. Those lenses are now available for preorder and cost $21,750 which is a bit higher than the other Supreme Primes.
