SIGMA fp: The smallest camera to record ProRes RAW

The SIGMA fp was defined as the world’s smallest full-frame mirrorless camera. Well, at least till the introduction of its successor, the fp L which has much more megapixels, but the same sensor size. Coupled with the Ninja V, the fp creates an ultra-compact shooting package that delivers ProRes RAW in 4K UHD up to 30p and HD up to 120p, from its full-frame sensor (36X24mm). Now, SIGMA is updating and fp firmware to be compatible with the new EVF-11, plus more features.

Summary

With this firmware update, it seems that the fp closes the gap compared to the blown-up megapixel model (fp L) which also costs 30% more. If you shoot only videos, you should consider purchasing the more affordable model, since the L hasn’t owned many advantages, compared to its predecessor.
