The newest EOS Cinema form Canon (A Cinema Swiss Army Knife) was created for creators looking to capture a rich cine look while accessing versatile imaging tools. The Canon’s RF-mount EOS C400 6K Full-Frame Digital Cinema Camera is based around a new 6K full-frame, back-illuminated CMOS sensor, features three ISO bases of 800, 3200, and 12,800, covering a truly wide range of light levels. This digital cinema camera blends high-resolution imagery with both cine-style and broadcast features like an optional Cooke/i PL mount, return video, and both Super35 and Super16 modes with solo shooter-friendly functions such as Dual-Pixel CMOS AF II, internal ND filters, and compact, lightweight form.

ARRI Pro Cine Set for Canon EOS C400
The ARRI Pro Cine Set for Canon EOS C400 provides advanced, cage-based support that readies the C400 camera for Cine-style capture with quick mounting transitions. This lightweight set includes a 15mm LWS bridge plate, a BPA-5 adapter plate, a cage, a CCH-4 top handle, two NATO rail clamps, an RMB-3 bracket, and a 15mm reducer. Use the included 9.4″ pair of 15mm rods to mount a lens support bracket and 15mm rod-based accessories. The bridge plate features anti-twist locating pins that keep your camera from skewing when assembled on the plate.

As we are waiting for the C400 to be shipped, it was spotted at the BIRTV (Beijing International Radio, TV, and Film Exhibition) paired with the dedicated ARRI Pro Cine Set. This marks the very efficient collaboration between Canon and ARRI, aiming for the professional market (just like ARRI did with the BURANO).
