Two days ago, ARRI has announced its new version of the AMIRA camera, titled AMIRA Live. Today, more details and prices revealed. The ARRI AMIRA Live Camera Set costs $31,180 which is slightly cheaper compared to the “regular” AMIRA. Read below what it includes.
“The Cinematic Super 35 Live-TV Camera”
ARRI defines the new AMIRA Live as “The Cinematic Super 35 Live-TV Camera”. The main highlights of the camera are the internal cabling design between the camera body and the 1820 Fiber Camera Adapter, resulting in a cleaner and more reliable configuration for live broadcast environments. Also, the AMIRA Live comes with a new 10″ VMM-1 viewfinder monitor, complete with broadcast-style controls to facilitate operation during live-broadcasting productions. ARRI claims that the AMIRA Live has been utilized in the David Guetta Dubai Show, however, when examining the photos from the show, we saw only the “regular” version of the AMIRA (read: David Guetta Dubai Show was Captured Live by Four ARRI Cameras).

The AMIRA Live comes with the VMM-1 bundle the costs $6,000. The simple calculation makes the Live model slightly cheaper but it’s not a significant difference. Finally, the AMIRA Live might set new standards, from a user experience perspective, regarding cinematic multi-cam broadcasting.
