Award winning Second generation projector

The projector is actually a second generation to the first 4K projector (model HU80K that has been announced at CES 2018) which looks like a black tower shape. The new generation model (HU85L) is designed to fit more comfortably in your leaving room, especially with the UST technology.

LG claims that “This CES 2019 Innovation Award winner builds upon the success of LG’s first 4K projector (model HU80K) and continues to stand out from the crowd with its minimal space requirement and compact design that can project stunningly sharp 4K images on practically any flat surface – a wall, floor or ceiling” using UST technology (read below).

Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology

The projector is armed with a new technology called Ultra Short Throw (UST) which allows “throwing” the image straight to a wall located in close proximity, and thus projects a 90-120 inch screen from just a few inches away (see images).

Price and availability for the projector will be announced at the CES 2019 Las Vegas show, but expect it to be more or less like his older brother, the HU80K first generation that costs about $2500 which is not cheap.

Visitors at CES can check out the CineBeam Laser 4K for themselves at the LG booth (#11100) located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 8-11.
