The MMS (Magnetic Mount System) is a unique and pioneering solution that ensures quick and safe mounting of the accessory to the front of the lens without the need for additional elements. This strong magnetic mount is compatible with Irix Cine lenses. The goal is to allow swapping and the filters quickly and easily during recording and save valuable time on the set. Ultra-thin filter construction

According to Irix, the filter construction is based on a system of strong, high-quality magnets, ultra-thin (only 5mm) and flat. That allows the MMS filters to perfectly adhere to the lens, creating a safe and secure connection. Irix states that “This filter series guarantees an excellent damage resistance. The toughened optical glass covered with a special nano-coating makes the filter survive virtually anything”. Furthermore, the filters are made of the highest quality optical glass with a light transmission of 99.8% and do not affect the exposure of the recorded images.
