Nikon has just announced the development of a new flagship, the Nikon Z 9, which defined as “The best still and video performance in Nikon’s history”. The Nikon Z 9 will be capable of 8K video recording and will represent a significant leap in technology and performance, as Nikon states. Read the announcement below.

Nikon Z 9: “The best still and video performance in Nikon’s history”

It seems that Nikon is trying hard to compete. After the announcement of the development of ultra-high-speed, high-resolution CMOS sensor, and the indication regarding a new mirrorless flagship, today the confirmation has landed. According to Nikon, the new camera will bring an unprecedented imaging experience. As stated on the press release: “Nikon is proud to announce the development of the Z 9, the first flagship model for the mirrorless Z mount. Bringing together the most exceptional groundbreaking technologies, the Z 9 delivers the best still and video performance in Nikon’s history. Highlighting our commitment to the professionals behind the lens, the Z 9 is designed to help you create the most compelling images”.

It utilizes a newly developed FX-format stacked CMOS sensor and a new image-processing engine. In response to the growing needs of professionals, advanced enthusiasts, and cinematographers, it includes support for 8K video recording as well as various other video specifications that fulfill diverse needs and workflows. The Z 9 embodies ultimate usability as a tool, offering users an unprecedented imaging experience from capture to workflow exceeding that of previous digital-SLR and mirrorless cameras”.
