Personal opinion

Obviously, as a dedicated moviegoer and cinephile, I’ve seen Avatar 1 with my wife back in 2009. Our kids were too young for this movie. Now, when our kids are 15 and 11 years old, I took them to see the remastered version. First, it needs to be mentioned: The HFR (48 FPS) scenes are barely noticeable. The film looks very impressive even compared to 2022 Blockbusters. I’ve been told by my kids that those were the most enjoyable 3 hours they had, especially in cinema. And now we are all ready to watch Avatar 2, with full anticipation. So yes, it was definitely worth it, especially on IMAX 3D. So there you go. These are our two cents. Enjoy the movie 🙂
