Fujifilm has announced a new domestic price revision in Japan affecting several current GFX and X Series cameras, selected camera kits, and one interchangeable lens. The new shipment prices took effect on October 1, 2026, with increases of approximately 6% to 15% across the affected digital cameras.

Fujifilm raises camera prices by up to 15%

According to Fujifilm, the revised pricing applies to the FUJIFILM GFX100 II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera, FUJIFILM GFX100S II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera, FUJIFILM GFX100RF Medium Format Fixed Lens Digital Camera, FUJIFILM X-T50 Mirrorless Camera ($1,699 on Amazon), FUJIFILM X-E5 Mirrorless Camera ($1,899 on Amazon), and FUJIFILM X100VI Digital Camera ($2,178.99 on Amazon). Fujifilm has not specified the exact increase for each individual camera. Instead, the company states that shipment prices across the affected digital camera products are increasing by approximately 6% to 15%.

Three GFX products are included in the revision: the FUJIFILM GFX100 II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera, FUJIFILM GFX100S II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera, and FUJIFILM GFX100RF Medium Format Fixed Lens Digital Camera. This makes the GFX lineup particularly relevant to the announcement. The affected products range from the flagship interchangeable lens FUJIFILM GFX100 II to the more compact FUJIFILM GFX100S II and the fixed lens FUJIFILM GFX100RF. The inclusion of the FUJIFILM GFX100RF is also notable because it is one of Fujifilm’s newer GFX products rather than an older model approaching the end of its market cycle.

FUJIFILM X100VI, X-E5 and X-T50 are also affected

The price revision extends into Fujifilm’s APS-C X Series lineup. The FUJIFILM X100VI Digital Camera is included, along with the FUJIFILM X-E5 Mirrorless Camera and FUJIFILM X-T50 Mirrorless Camera. These are important products within Fujifilm’s current consumer camera lineup, meaning the adjustment is not limited to high-end medium format equipment.

Camera kits included in the increase

Fujifilm is also increasing shipment prices for two camera and lens kits. The first is the FUJIFILM X-T50 Mirrorless Camera with FUJINON XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens ($349 on Amazon) Kit. The second is the FUJIFILM X-E5 Mirrorless Camera with FUJINON XF23mmF2.8 R WR Lens ($499 on Amazon) Kit. Fujifilm lists both kits within the same digital camera category, meaning their shipment price increases fall within the approximately 6% to 15% range.

FUJINON XF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR price rises by around 12%

Only one interchangeable lens is included in this particular revision: the FUJINON XF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens. Fujifilm says its shipment price is increasing by approximately 12%. Unlike the camera category, where Fujifilm provides a broad 6% to 15% range across multiple products, the XF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR has a specific approximate increase attached to it.

Fujifilm blames rising manufacturing and logistics costs

Fujifilm attributes the increases to continued growth in material, manufacturing, and logistics costs. The company says it has attempted to absorb those expenses through improved production efficiency and cost reductions, but that internal measures are no longer sufficient to offset the rising costs. As a result, Fujifilm has revised shipment prices for the affected products.

This is currently a Japan-only price revision

The announcement applies specifically to Fujifilm’s domestic Japanese market. Fujifilm has not announced equivalent price increases for the United States, Europe, or other international markets as part of this notice. The approximately 6% to 15% increase refers to Fujifilm’s Japanese shipment prices and does not necessarily translate directly into an identical increase in retail pricing, even within Japan. What makes this announcement particularly interesting is the selection of products involved. The list includes current cameras across very different segments, from the FUJIFILM GFX100 II and FUJIFILM GFX100S II medium format systems to the FUJIFILM X100VI, FUJIFILM X-E5, and FUJIFILM X-T50. Rather than targeting a single product family or older inventory, Fujifilm is applying the adjustment across several active and relatively recent cameras. For Japanese buyers, that means some of Fujifilm’s most relevant current cameras are becoming more expensive, with shipment price increases reaching approximately 15%.
