ARRI’s new Certified Online Training Course allows you to undergo official training by ARRI and get a formal certificate without physically attending a class. It’s a short course, very straight forward, immersive and affordable.

8 recorded sessions (12 hours)

According to ARRI, this online course is a series of 8 recorded sessions and access to self-learning units covering all aspects of shooting with the ALEXA LF, ALEXA Mini, ALEXA SXT W, and AMIRA. You can start the online course at any time and access the sessions until July 31, 2019.

You will be given the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of camera functions and advanced look workflows. Experienced professionals will detail the many possibilities the cameras have to offer, giving you expert advice.

ARRI claims that by the end of the course you will get a formal certificate from ARRI,  indicating your product competence and ability to use the cameras to their full potential in real-world situations.

The course should be beneficial to everybody that seek to know more about ARRI’s ecosystem and get a format certificate on it, like cinematographers, operators, assistants, students, film school teachers, rental staff and filmmakers.

Final thoughts

Formal certificate form ARRI definitely can’t hurt you in the real world of filmmaking. The course sounds good concerning the hands-on topics and syllabus. Furthermore, it’s pretty affordable. There is nothing like making your hands dirty and practice using real cameras and equipment, however, online education could be a complementary factor for sure.
