Initial thoughts

Now, with Adobe banning Premiere Pro in Russia, we expect an elevated demand for DaVinci Resolve, unless, Blackmagic will announce its sanctions as well. Anyway, we can explore an interesting tendency toward improving the capability of Resolve as an NLE (Non-Linear Editor). The last improvements are more focused on the Cut and Edit page of Resolve, speed-wise, rather than on the Color page. Overall, the 17 version made a huge jump in offering professional editors what they need and asked for. As we are getting closer and closer to the DaVinci Resolve 18, Blackmagic’s roadmap becomes clearer, with the obvious goal to conquer the post-production market by offering a reliable, feature-wise, and affordable piece of software for beginners and professionals.
